Could Bill Parcells be the man to lead the New Orleans Saints through 2012-

Could Bill Parcells be the man to lead the New Orleans Saints through 2012?
During the afternoon hours on Thursday, reports started circulating that New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael was named the interim head coach of the team for the 2012 season. There of course is not truth to these reports as of yet, but someone is going to have to take over for suspended head coach . Who could it be?
A few other names besides Carmichael's have been thrown around including new defensive coordinator and even Bill Parcells. Yes, that Bill Parcells.
As Thursday moved forward, the former New York Giants' head coach had his name pop up in a number of reports including first by the . Word during the Combine was that Parcells was "getting the itch" to work as a coach again.
It's well known that Parcells and Payton are very close as the latter worked for the former years ago for a while. But would Saints owner Tom Benson bring in an outside shot when there are viable candidates already on staff?
Perhaps an answer will soon be known,Ryan Clady Jerseys.

Quotes from 49ers training camp

Quotes from 49ers training camp
The 49ers just sent me a transcript of the best quotes from today's arrivals by players to Santa Clara. I will just copy and paste the quotes for you all.
===
TE Vernon Davis
On what he is expecting from Mike Singletary a :
I m expecting Coach Singletary to be tough on us from the start. No nonsense. He wants us to be a family and stick together, be there for one another and just play this game the way it is supposed to be played.
On whether he was preparing for this training camp to be his roughest training camp:
I got my mind right for it just like anything else. I think of it as just training camp. That s what I do and I m sure that s what my teammates do as well. You just go out there and just play. You shouldn t think of it as being rough or brutal. In my mind, I don t think anything is rough. I take each day at a time just like I approach the game, one game at a time, just play ball and do what I m told.
On whether his days of getting in practice field fisticuffs are over:
It is behind me, but the one thing that I can t stop is being competitive and that s just who I am and how I m always going to be. I m going to be competitive all the time. I m going to try my best not to lose and most of the time I m going to try to win. That s just how it s going to be and if the other guy across from me doesn t like it, then he is just going to have to deal with it and it s just going to be that way. After we leave the field and come game time we are going to be best of friends. I wouldn t take it as anything. That s just how I practice.
On Coach Singletary s view on fighting during practice:
He does not like fighting. If you fight, then he will run the whole team. That s his philosophy. Like I said, if a guy is getting beat real bad in practice, he doesn t like it and gets mad, then that s on him. I don t think you can run the team because of that. Coach Singletary, I agree with him. I don t think there should be fighting. We don t have time for that. We ve got to move on and keep things moving and try to win games.
===
DE Justin Smith
On whether he likes the way things are set up for training camp:
Yes, I think we are in a position - we ve got the talent and the players that we think we need. Now, it s just a matter of putting it all together and going out and winning games. The first four or five games we are playing about everybody in our division, so it s going to be a huge month in September.
On his position being more defined this season:
I m definitely more comfortable and you know exactly what position you are going to be playing and we know exactly what kind of defense we are going to be playing. We are going to be playing a 3-4 pretty much, just go out there and get them. We are planning on our guys being better than their guys most of the time. Now it s just a matter of us going out there and actually doing it.
On whether the fact that Coach Singletary has been through a training camp as a player makes him less skeptical of the training camp schedule:
That s the thing. He s actively done it. I m sure under Buddy Ryan they were hitting twice a day. That s all they did back then. The first couple of weeks they were probably getting in shape and those sorts of things because they didn t have as many OTAs and things like that. He s been through it. It s no problem. He s definitely speaking from experience so that definitely makes what he s saying mean a whole lot more two weeks into it.
===
LB Takeo Spikes
On what he expects from Coach Singletary heading into training camp:
What I expect from Coach Singletary is we are going to hit the ground running. What I mean by that is I m pretty sure he wants to see who s going to be all in, who is going to be his players as far as stepping up to the plate, not only when it s time for you to do it when you are fresh. As these weeks go on, days go on you are going to become tired. That s just the reality of it. I think that s what he really wants to see. He wants to see how guys are going to respond to the adversity.
On whether he s ever been a part of a training camp with such a gap between reporting day and the first day of practice:
I ve never seen that. I ve never been a part of that, but I will be the first one to tell you, I m not complaining because as of right now, we break on September 1, if I m not mistaken. I ll take every day that s a teaching day. I ll take everyday that s a walk and greet, or whatever you want to call it because when we start up, then you are committed for six and half, seven months.
On whether he s been told he ll be given time off because he is a veteran:
I really don t have a schedule because I think once you go into camp, as a veteran guy like myself, in my opinion you just can t go in and say, I m going to go in this day and take this day off because you don t know. I like to go until my body tells me, You know what, let s back off a little bit. Let s take a rest. If I feel something coming on, then I ll take advantage of the time that has been given to me and that is the way I m going to play it this year.
On what he did differently this offseason with his workout:
Usually my last two weeks of training before camp comes up, that s when I usually do my two-a-days and the two-a-days consist of lifting, running, that s all one workout. I ll take a break and come back and do some sort of functional activity, whether it s working on pass rush moves. I did a lot of boxing, but modified boxing to where-just open hand stuff that simulates football movements. I did a lot of that and Parys [Haralson] did a lot of that with me. He was kind of my training buddy, him and Osi Umenyiora. We worked very hard and I think doing that kind of stuff over a five week time period, I really feel good.
On the passing of Jim Johnson:
It was devastating. The reason why was because it happened all of a sudden. I lost my father to brain cancer. It was somewhat similar to the way he was diagnosed in January and passed in October and that s the same thing with Jim. It happened towards the end of the season last year and now he s passing. So what he meant to the Philadelphia Eagles family, not only to the family, but the fans, the stability, credibility, I think he was the typical or ideal example of excellence. That s what he represented.
===
T Joe Staley
On the physicality of this year s camp:
If you know Singletary, you know that he s known for his intensity and being physical with an F as he puts it. So I expect it to be a physical and intense training camp with a lot of competition, a lot of energy. Pretty much compare it to other camps and we ll see how it goes when it gets started.
On what the team expects leading to Saturday s first practice:
A lot of team meetings. We have a meeting tonight at six and some position meetings after that and tomorrow we have a full day of meetings and get in the playbook and then get everything ready for Saturday so we can go out there and not waste any reps.
On taking more of a leadership role this year:
I feel like I do. I ve been able to play ever since I ve been a rookie here and going into my third year I feel like myself and guys like Patrick [Willis] and the young guys on our team need to step up and become more vocal and become the next generation of leaders on this team,Big & Tall Denver Broncos Jersey. I ve always been the captain of every team I ve been on, basically, college and high school. I don t really have any problems speaking my mind. I also feel that it s something that you earn you ve got to earn it and show it on the field.
===
LB Patrick Willis
On the start of training camp:
I m prepared for a great camp. I know that this camp is going to be brutal. It s going to be crucial. It s going to be very important to how our season plays out for us. The work that we re going to put in, the way that we re going to go about doing things, the way that we re going to carry out our mission, as I like to call it, on both sides of the ball on defense, offense and special teams of course. I think that it s going to be great for us.
On looking forward to Saturday s start of practices:
You can t dread it, this is what we do. This is our life. Sometimes you re not going to feel like it, but it s part of football. That s what comes along with it and that s what our head coach wants. That s what we ve got to do.
On getting an opportunity to start hitting again:
That s what I love. I miss the hitting. I ve been working out all of July and that was fun, but at the same time, I ve been missing what I love to do and that s football.Just being out there on the field and doing your profession. That s what I miss and it s almost game time, so I m getting excited.

DeMarcus Ware says Ray Lewis wants to be a Cowboy

DeMarcus Ware says Ray Lewis wants to be a Cowboy
All the rumors that Baltimore Raven's linebacker wants out of the dirty city of Baltimore seem to be true. According to , Lewis came up to him after the Ravens trounced the in December and pointed to his helmet as he said it's been a long dream of his to wear that Star.
And when the two met at the Pro Bowl, he said it to Ware again. Free agency starts this Friday, and there's no telling what Jerry Jones will do. But the big question is how in the heck can he sign Lewis, who likely will demand at least $10-$13 million--even more---a year.
I think he is genuine, Ware said. Believe me, he is genuine. He talked to me before he became a free agent. He talked to me two years ago about it. He calls me about once a week and talks about it then. I even said, Hey, Ray, I m tired about talking about this. You need to find Jerry Jones number and fly out there and talk to him. He says things like D-Ware, I need to get down there. You re the pass-rush guy and I need to play with you. Just call Jerry for me. Just call him. Just call him.
Wow. Why Lewis never made Jones aware of his affinity for the is mind-boggling. Why Ware never did, either, is also confusing. Could we have found a way to have Lewis on our team years ago before we signed Terrell Owens or even Roy E. Williams,Chris Harris Jerseys? It just seems so crazy that Lewis has had this dream that he's never pursued.

Week VI preview- Oakland Raiders (2-3) at San Francisco 49ers (0-5)

Week VI preview: Oakland Raiders (2-3) at San Francisco 49ers (0-5)
Video:
One big plus for the Raiders will be the return of left guard Robert Gallery from injury. Gallery has been their best lineman for the past several years, and his presence will only straighten their already strong rushing attack. The 49ers are getting their return specialist Ted Ginn, Jr back from injury, and despite the Raiders' stellar special teams performance against the Chargers the Raiders coverage teams have been prone to breakdowns.
All Time Record:
Oakland Raiders lead the series 6-5
First meeting:
The San Francisco 49ers beat the Oakland Raiders 38-7 in a game played at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on 12/20/1970.
Last meeting:
The Niners beat the Raiders 34-20 in a game played at Candlestick Park on 08/10/2006.
Matchups to watch:
Michael Bush v Patrick Willis: The Raiders have relied heavily on their running game and Patrick Willis is the 49ers' top defender. This puts the running back and the inside linebacker on a literal collision course. The Raiders need Bush to have a big day for the Raiders offense to flourish. The Raiders are seventh in the league in rushing with Bush coming off a hundred yard performance against the Bolts. The Niners rush defense is middle of the pack with the 18th ranked run defense.
Rolando McClain v Frank Gore: Frank Gore is the Niners primary threat. The Niners desperately need him to take the pressure off the struggling Alex Smith. McClain was a major part of the Raiders plan to revamp their run defense over the offseason. The Raiders defense has shown a propensity to give up big plays against the run. They have to make Gore work for every yard.
Oakland Raiders v Themselves: Through 5 games the Raiders have been flagged 54 times (6 declined) for 467 yards lost. (400 on penalties and 67 yards nullified by penalty.) The Raiders have gained a total of 1696, giving back a quarter of that on penalties has been quite significant,Ryan Clady Jersey. In four out of their five games, they have been in double digits, and they can't keep shooting themselves in the foot and expect to win. They also have to have better ball security. They are at zero in the turnover ratio, but their offense has recovered eight of their own fumbles so far.
5 keys to victory:
Run the ball. Jason Campbell is at his best when its time for a methodical drive down the field. If he can rely on the legs of Bush, that will set him up to get the ball out to the receivers.

"I will be out there on Sunday

Asomugha talks about 49ers' offseason pursuit; Reid updates Vick's status
Philadelphia cornerback spoke to the media through conference call on Wednesday and spoke about the ' interest in his services during the free agency period. Asomugha said he never had any direct contact with the 49ers at the time.
"If there were any talks, it was just with my agent," Asomugha said. "Everything was moving so fast, there wasn't any talks with me."
Looking forward, Asomugha says that the Eagles are still trying to get on the same page, hence why they are off to a slow start.
"We want to be better than we have these past few games," he said. "Everybody is confident about where we can build."
Fortunately for him, the 49ers aren't a team that he is unfamiliar with. In fact, Asomugha knows the 49ers very well and sees a great potential for the receivers.
"I've played them before... from the last eight years, we've been playing them in Oakland," he said of the annual preseason matchups he had against the 49ers while playing with the Raiders. "I know the receivers they had, they can get downfield,Brady Quinn Jerseys. I know Harbaugh has a gameplan that can get those guys downfield. It's just a matter of getting open. Those opportunities are going to come."
But knowing Asomugha's skills, the 49ers receivers will have a tough time having a big receiving day on him.
===
The talk of the week has been the health status of Eagles quarterback . Vick has a bruised right hand (non-throwing) and he may or may not play on Sunday. The quarterback thinks he'll be ready for the game.
"I will be out there on Sunday, regardless," Vick said on Wednesday. "There is a 100-percent chance I'm playing,Demaryius Thomas Jersey."
Eagles head coach was more careful about updating Vick's status. Reid said that Vick was a full participant in the Eagles' morning walkthrough.
"Good enough to take snaps," Reid said of Vick. "Improved quite a little bit from yesterday to today. I expect it to continue to improve."
Reid did say that the biggest concern for him is that Vick might have some trouble handling snaps from center. And if Vick struggles or his hand doesn't heal during the week, he won't jeopardize the team by putting him in the game.
One thing Reid did openly talk about was his praise for what head coach Jim Harbaugh has done with the offense in San Francisco.
"It looks like the players, quarterback in particular, are enjoying that system," Reid said. "It's quarterback friendly."
Reid praised Harbaugh for being a creative guy, an "expert" at coaching quarterbacks and that he was a great fit for the 49ers offense.
===
Quick notes:
, there will be a couple changes to the Eagles secondary on Sunday: Brian Rolle will start at weakside linebacker and Nate Allen will be at starting free safety.
Jim Harbaugh said that he expects both RB Frank Gore (ankle) and WR Michael Crabtree (foot) to play on Sunday.
Reid praised the 49ers rush defense and said they were "stout and athletic". When asked if he could identify any standouts on defense he singled out, Reid laughed and said that all the players stood out to him.
Since the 49ers needed a place to practice, the team decided to run their walkthrough in the hotel parking lot.

is a lightning rod of a coach

Vikings-Jets game preview Q&A
The up and down season of the Minnesota Vikings took another upswing this week with the acquisition of New England Patriot receiver . Huge enough of a sports story to eclipse Twins fever in Minnesota, the trade comes about a week shy of the Vikings' return from the bye for a Monday night tilt with the .
Moss is no stranger to the Jets or the team's celebrated corner ,Ryan Clady Jerseys, and therefore a conversation with is sure to feature some Moss talk. Check out his responses to my questions below and look for my answers to his in a subsequent post. As always, visit and let him know what you think about his analysis of this huge game for the Vikings on Monday night.
Joe Oberle: Many are calling the Jets the top team in the NFL. To what do you attribute that and what are the major concerns for the Vikings when they come to the Big Apple?
Tyson Rauch: I am not so sure I would say the Jets are the best team in the NFL, but Gang Green is playing very well right now. The Jets have won three division games in a row without their best pass rusher (Calvin Pace), their best run stopper (Kris Jenkins) and their best cover corner/defensive player (Darrelle Revis). The Jets are much improved on offense where quarterback Mark Sanchez has been very efficient, throwing 8 touchdowns with no interceptions through four games. As for what the Vikings should be worried about, the Jets are no longer a one dimensional team on offense.
JO: is a lightning rod of a coach, almost the polar opposite of the media-shy and clandestine Brad Childress. Does his larger-than-life profile fit New York or does his act only fit as long the team keeps winning?
TR: Either you love Rex Ryan or you don't, there is not much middle ground. Jets fans love Rex as he has changed the culture within organization and has given the team an identity. Ryan's brash style is not for everyone, which has led the Jets to becoming one of the most hated teams in the NFL. The one thing that is for certain, the players love Ryan, which will take him a long way in the NFL.
JO: In his second season, is Mark Sanchez showing improvements and what problems does he present for a tough Minnesota defense,Women's Denver Broncos Jerseys?
TR: The Jets have taken the handcuffs off of Sanchez and the young quarterback has thrived. Mark has a firm grasp of the offense and no longer forces throws or gets overwhelmed by the situation. Sanchez has done an excellent job spreading the ball around and will be even more effective now that Santonio Holmes has returned from suspension.
JO: Randy Moss has caught this town by storm. Is Darrelle Revis excited about a rematch, and how will the tough Jets defense attack Adrian Peterson?
TR: Darrelle Revis is still recovering from a hamstring injury so there is a chance Antonio Cromartie will be paired up with Moss. Cromartie did a solid job against Moss back in week two, shutting Randy down in the second half of the game. As for the Jets stopping Peterson, I am sure the Jets will run blitz in order to stop the run and force to beat them.
JO: These two teams went to their respective conference championship games last season and came up short. There should be a lot of excitement and fireworks in Jersey on Monday between Minnesota and New York (not to mention this weekend between the Twins and Yankees)--how do you see this one playing out?
TR: The stadium will be electric not only for the hyped Monday night match-up, but for the mere fact that the Jets have won three games in a row and the fans are fired up. As for the outcome of the game I think it all comes down to how much pressure the Jets can get on Favre. I think the Jets will let Peterson get his yards, but will force Favre to beat them, something I am not so sure he can do. If Favre gets into any type of rhythm, the Jets will have their hands full.

add Jacob Lacey

Lions re-sign Fluellen, add Jacob Lacey
The Lions have been quiet in free agency, but they . First, they re-signed defensive tackle Andre Fluellen. Second, they signed cornerback .
I've liked Fluellen as a player for a few years, but of course he plays at the most stacked position the Lions have. He's not as good as Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley, Corey Williams, or even Sammie Hill. As such, he isn't likely to get much playing time. However, when he does play, he should be good enough.
Lacey is only 24, and he has started 27 games for the Indianapolis Colts over the past three seasons. His best season was actually his rookie year, when he had 85 tackles, three interceptions, and 13 passes defensed,Denver Broncos Jersey. He's a pretty good cornerback, but he's not as good as Eric Wright, who the Lions lost to the Buccaneers. Could he be a solid starter for Detroit? Sure, in a pinch. However,Denver Broncos Jerseys, I'd much rather he fight Alphonso Smith for the third cornerback spot and have the Lions sign somebody else to start across from Chris Houston.
That being said, if the Lions draft a cornerback in the first round and combine him with Lacey and everybody else, they could have a solid secondary. Plus, if the defensive line is able to keep pressure on opposing quarterbacks, that will help. Detroit still needs to re-sign Stephen Tulloch, or try and swing for the fences on Curtis Lofton, but at least they have made a couple of moves.

where did you come from

Dancing With The Stars: Ranking Chad and Cheryl's performances from the 10th season (top 6)
6. Week 8:

Coincidentally, one of Ocho s top performances came when he and Cheryl danced the Jive to The Love Man.

With the competition heating up, Week 8 consisted of two individual dances from each couple. After receiving a disappointing 21 earlier in the night for the Tango, Chad bounced back with a high-energized Jive dance that may have saved him in the competition. Week 8 was the first time
Chad and Cheryl ended up in the bottom two, but they managed to outlast Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel.
5. Week 7:

ABC added an extra twist to the seventh week of the competition by adding a group dance on top of each couple s individual performance. Chad and Cheryl joined Pamela Anderson, Damien Whitewood, Nicole Scherzinger, and Derek Hough to dance Telephone as part of Team Gaga

The group received a 27 overall for their performance, with Chad turning up the heat according to Carrie Ann. However, she also pointed out there were a number of areas he struggled with during the dance.
4. Week 6:
On , you either grow, or you go,Denver Broncos Jersey. You grew tonight.

Len and the rest of the judges explained to Chad why they had been so harsh on him during the first five weeks of the show; they knew he was capable of dancing at a higher level.

In the week leading up to his performance of the Argentine Tango, Chad decided to head back to Cincinnati with Cheryl so he could get in some workouts with the Bengals. Turns out, his trip was exactly what he needed after struggling with the quick step the previous week.

While in Cincinnati, Ochocinco attended a Bengals Draft Party in which he was greeted by hundreds of fans. Chad seemed more energized after interacting with fans and drastically improved his dancing after receiving a 24 his best score of the season at the time.
3. Week 7:
Chad, remember this day, May 3 2010 the night you became a contender.

Nobody could have said it better than Len did after the type of performance Chad and Cheryl displayed with the Viennese Waltz. Finally, he had evolved into the type of dancer everyone had been waiting to see all season.

The judges raved Ochocinco for the job he did at extending his arms throughout the dance as they were full of fluidity. The look in his eyes said it all as he was holding back tears of joy.
2. Week 9:

One of the toughest tasks at making the semi-finals on DWTS was learning not one, but two individual dances in less than a week to impress the judges and fans. For his second dance of the semi-finals, Ochocinco realized he couldn t hold anything back with the finals on the line. Not to mention he was considered a serious underdog against three contestants all capable of winning the competition.

As unfortunate as it may have been for Chad to be performing the toughest of the Latin dances this late into the competition, he still displayed an impressive routine that earned him a 25. The judges were impressed for the most part especially with the way he lit up the audience.

The key to a successful Samba is excitement and Chad nailed it when he ripped his shirt off during the performance. It s more fun to watch Ocho perform with a smile on his face because it shows how much fun he s having. In his final performance on the show, No. 85 was all smiles.
1. Week 9:

Without any question, the Waltz was Ochocinco s best performance during his nine weeks on the show. After a long journey with many ups and downs, he finally displayed the type of routine the judges and his fans knew he was capable of performing all season.

All three judges raved Chad and gave him his best score of the entire season with a 27. All along, the potential was there for Ochocinco and after the Waltz, it was clear he finally evolved into a serious dancer after weeks and long-hours of training.

He deserves a lot of credit for the progress made since the premiere considering Chad was the only contestant in the semi-finals with no previous dancing experience. Any other season, the argument can be made Ochocinco may have had a better shot at advancing to the finals.

Here s what the judges had to say about his best performance:
Carrie Ann Inaba: " just nailed the Waltz! Chad, where did you come from? This new Chad with the new posture and the new elegance and the never ending movement one movement going right into the next movement, fluidity refinement."
Len Goodman: "Chad, I don t know where to start really. You re the only one with absolutely no dance experience in the semifinal. The others, they ve got some. They ve climbed here, you ve climbed mountains. And to come out in the semi-final and produce a Waltz like that fantastic."Bruno Tonioli: "Respect! Tonight, you are one of the guys that had the toughest criticism from us from day one. We ve been so harsh because we knew there was something there for us to see,Denver Broncos Jerseys. Tonight, you showed it to us. You re a star!"

and will not be as comfortable to push - sometimes

Discover How To Select The Optimal Infant Stroller by Jack Guzman
Any dad will tell you that the toddler stroller is their bridge to the rest of the world. Missing a toddler stroller, most families would be stuck at home, unable to bring the whole family outside and about. Some moms also find out that a walk outside is the single way their noisy toddler will ever, ever fall asleep. No matter what your reason for using a toddler stroller, whether work or fun, it is clear that strollers are a mainstay of daily living, an important help for both the busy mom on the go and the relaxed mom out for a walk.
You used to be faced with two base choices; either, you chose a pram,Denver Broncos Jersey, a large drab toddler stroller where the child could lie down, or with a small,Denver Broncos Jerseys, flimsy toddler stroller where you would tie your toddler into a sitting position.
Strollers come in a wide range of functions to meet the many wants and situations of moms. If you are primarily going to use your toddler stroller while you are out buying stuff, or need a toddler stroller you can take on trips that can be brought out quickly, you should get a lightweight toddler stroller. These lightweight strollers are tiny and fold away easily. Of course, the negative is that they are not as sturdy as standard strollers, and will not be as comfortable to push - sometimes, a very lightweight toddler stroller can be difficult to make go in the direction you want. If you have a lot of space, consider a a standard or full-size toddler stroller.
Look into getting a jogger (jogging stroller) if you enjoy training, the outdoors and an active life. You will have a secure grip on the handlebars thanks to their special design. Even if only you and not your child will get the benefits of the exercise, he or she will have fun.
You will spend a lot of the next few years pushing your new stroller; be sure to take the time to make sure you have the perfect available stroller for your child and your lifestyle.

as a geriatric maternity patient

Parenting Book Review: Sprituality In The Mother Zone: Staying Centered, Finding God
Here's an example of what happens when an academic gives birth at 40 and suddenly discovers she has a woman's body holding up her head. Ms. Thomas's treatise is heavily weighted with a neuvo-Catholicism, used to give form to her spirituality,Denver Broncos Jerseys. Her search for the Transcendent is sprinkled with the wisdom of many different writers who focus on aspects of motherhood. We get a glimpse of her strength from the brief description of her pregnancy and birth experience. She planned hospital birth with a physician. Diagnosed with complete placenta previa two months before birth, she miraculously delivers vaginally without complication! The midwives among you may find this astounding; nevertheless, the fact that she was able to escape a cesarean section (as a geriatric maternity patient) is a near miracle at many hospitals.
Woven throughout the book is reference to St. Sophia, who provided a spiritual touchstone at needed times. Ms. Thomas covers the early years of motherhood, pointing out the issues in plain view but not seen by many of us because of our focus on taking care of our family's daily needs. She provides a thoughtful guide for how one might incorporate the spiritual in everyday motherhood. I highly recommend this book for those who seek a spiritual awakening, especially those falling under the Christian banner. For others, the many references to feminist writings are worth a perusal of the book to seek out sources of thoughtful ideologies.
For readers concerned about her views about breastfeeding, no need to worry. Ms. Thomas writes eloquently of her discovery of the spiritual powers of breastfeeding. She writes, “ . . . for me breastfeeding often felt like the deep relaxation and sense of union that often accompanied prayer. Surrendering to the experience contributed to a rich sense of God's presence and to a deepening trust in my own body, even as I relished nourishing my baby.”
Amen,Denver Broncos Jersey.

Veggies and Dip
Keep some cut up veggies in the fridge. Small pieces of carrot, peeled cucumber, celery as well as small sections of broccoli and cauliflower all make great finger food for toddlers. redemptive that mysteriously transmits to the child in a positive

Foster Parents Do Make a Difference in the Lives of Foster Children
Judith Viorst, in her best seller “Necessary Losses”, discusses how we are forced to grow beyond the losses that are an inevitable and necessary part of life. For children forced into the child welfare system, the loss was necessary for their own well being and safety. These children had to be temporarily or sometimes permanently removed from their biological environment due to neglect, abandonment or abuse.
Foster parents are wonderful people empowered with the courage and fortitude to open up their hearts and homes to foster children. They understand that becoming a foster parent is a special mission or calling requiring the ability to be a guiding and supporting influence on young hurting souls. They realize that there is absolutely no alternative equal to another family environment when children, through no fault of their own and for whatever reason, can no longer live with their biological families and they have willingly stepped up to the challenge of making a difference in the life of a child.
I both admire and salute all foster parents because foster parenting is a demanding commitment. Not only are they required to acknowledge the bereft foster child's difficult emotions when first placed in their home, integrate the child into their family, teach the child the family's rules and rituals, routines and expectations, engender feelings of safety and security, but they are also required to work cooperatively in efforts to reunify the child with his/her birth family and so much more.
Yet, I believe there is such a wondrous power in the gift of human love and compassion. New life emerges in hearts of hurting children longing for unconditional love, tenderness, compassion, patience, understanding and hope. When foster parents reach out and lovingly touch a child, they infuse something priceless of themselves into the very soul and essence of another. When they touch a child in empathetic, kind, gentle, healing ways, they may be incognizant of the lasting impressions they are imprinting upon the child's mind screen with each loving word, gentle embrace, and warm encouragement.
The power of love and compassion is awesome. There is something subtle, magnetic; redemptive that mysteriously transmits to the child in a positive, healthy and permanent way. It is the ministry of healing; the most lasting and meaningful kind of human touches. It is the silent, holy, and powerful contagion of a foster parent's influence.
Literally thousands of lives have been positively affected by foster parents who have volunteered their homes, their lives, and selves to these children. As a former foster child myself, I can attest to the sustaining power that an understanding look or warm embrace can have on crushed spirits. I know what a loving foster home environment is. It is more than just a place to sleep comfortably and it is more than wiping away sad tears,Denver Broncos Jerseys, but it is a refuge from the world of chaos. Foster Parents do make a difference.
Staff at the Children's Place at Home Safe wear shirts with the inscription: When all is said and done all that matters is that I have made a difference in the life of a child. What a great testimony!
If you have not thought about it before, “now is the acceptable time” to consider becoming a foster parent. You remember what Jesus said in the gospel of Mark?
"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." Mark 9:37.
People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16.
The need for loving foster homes is GREAT! There are children waiting for families in your community,Denver Broncos Jersey. If you have room in your heart to give the gift of hope and healing and if you have room in your home to provide safety and stability for children who have been neglected, abandoned, or abused, please consider becoming a foster parent.
